Yipee!!!

I found my watch and my ring in the pocket of my capris!

I think I remember putting them on once this spring...

I kept thinking this spring I wouldn't be wearing capris because Tim Gunn (TV fashion guy) said on his show to get rid of your capris because they just aren't flattering. So I wasn't going to even wear them anymore. But I saw them there in my drawer and thought it may be a little chilly at the hair cut place so instead of wearing jeans and being hot or shorts and being cold, I'll just break the "rule" (opinion is probably more accurate) and wear the capris. I heard jingling in the pocket and thought I scored some quarters but it was my long lost beloved adornments.

Found.

So yea! I am befuddled but grateful.
I'd even kind of stopped praying to find them a couple days ago.

Oh me of little faith.

Now, maybe someone will catch a fish from Lee Creek and open it up and find Brian's wedding band. I should tell my Dad to get to fishing.

LOST

I am going crazy! I lost my wedding ring and my watch! I've been searching for it for 2 weeks now! I am at a loss. I know they are together somewhere because I usually take them off at the same time and put my ring inside the safety circle of my watch. I can't even remember the last time I was wearing them because for the week before I realized they were missing I would go to put them on and they wouldn't be in the spot I looked so I assumed they were in one of the other two spots I ever put them! But I was in a rush so I'd just leave the house thinking they were in the other spot. Until I had the time to look in all three spots and realized they were not in any of them!
Brian and I have checked EVERYWHERE (except for where they really are, I guess). I was sure they would show up somewhere but now I am getting worried they are gone for good.
Brian lost his wedding band this summer in the creek in Beazer. So now we are both ring-less.

I know...this isn't the most exciting post. Truth is I've actually been trying to accomplish something. I am de-vining my yard. and trying to finish my curtains. But the weather and a little bit sick kiddos are sort of keeping me from finishing. Sort of. I will tell you about those vines though. They are CRAZY! Seriously. later.

I was trying to save them. But apparently they didn't need saving. Apparently they were on their honeymoon and were probably a little miffed that I was interfering.

It's a rainy day here. AND there was a cockroach on the boys tiolet this morning. It scurried when I turned on the light and fell into the toilet so I flushed it. Brian said flushing doesn't kill bugs they crawl around in the pipes because the pipes aren't full of water all the time. So now I'm freaked out that it will come crawling out of who knows which plumbing hole and just be there. And isn't it true that if there is one there are many others? I am totally not loving this. Should I call someone in to spray? What. ugh.

Can you say Heebie Jeebies? Like I'm gonna go take a shower now! Have you seen that old worm movie? Where the worms bite and eat people? They came through the plumbing. I think my shower holes are too small, but still...

On a positive note...I think I might splerge and order me some See's Candies easter treats. I'm thinking the Scotchmallow Eggs or the Chocolate Butter Egg. Mmmmm...

what a new coat of paint can do

It was a quick weekend trip to Knoxville to help Cally paint some walls! We finished the living room and kitchen by midnight Friday and decided we had enough time to get a bathroom done. Bathrooms are harder than we thought! And the color was a little shocking to begin with. But we did it and I was back on the road to home by 5:30 pm. Saturday. I didn't get a picture of the bathroom...maybe Cally will post some finished product pictures here. Maybe...but no promises. I'll send her an e-mail. The bathroom is really blue. Kind of bright. I liked it.

The older kids were with the Dads in a Cave! They spent the night in a cave! It was the Lost Sea thingy. They loved it. I'm glad for them. Their clothes were SOOOO dirty. I just threw them away. I'll take a look at their pictures and see if there are some good ones to post.

Adventures...what fun!
