Quotes I like

One should treasure those humdrum
tasks that keep the body occupied but leave the mind unfettered.
( I think I got this from the book Jen lent me
forever ago called something like 'I Didn't Plan on Being a Witch')

Be of Good Cheer.
(At Time Out for Women one of the presenters said
she had a German? professor who is his thick German? accent told her "Beee
uv Goood Cheeeer. Thees eez not a soojestion. Eet eez a
co-mandment.")

Any idiot can face a crisis, it is this
day-to-day living that wears you out.
(thanks Heidi...I like this one.)

Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of
Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake
our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this
day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good
Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!*
-Aragorn, Return of the King
(I love this. It picks me up. It sure looked
bleak for those guys...What a motovational speech. I don't think 'that day' will come. When
you have friends and family to fight with you, it will never be 'that day'. We fight to the end, because we fight for
our families, homes and faith. Hmmmm.... That reminds me of another great
army.)

Okay. I have to end here because I can't stop thinking of Aragorn and the Lord of the Rings movies...I may have to watch those again.
