stormy weather

WOW! What a storm we had! I was up at 1:30 am listening to the sirens and trying to figure out the 'wah wah' voice of the warning guy...Do I wake my kids and run to the basement?

After watching the news for a bit to discover the storm has just begun, I head out to bring in the chairs from around the pool and bring the floaties into the covered patio. It was scary because the lightening was off the charts kabooming all over!

Then I go back to bed because I really am quite tired.

Around 3:00 am I woke up again because of a partcularly loud crack of thunder and the power was out. I went to the front door because it really is kind of neat to watch the huge pine trees swaying to and fro (so long as they don't fall down!). I can't really see anything until the lightening flashes. And it does...and what do you think I see? I had a little visitor on my door knob!

He wanted out of the rain! Such a cutie. I've never seen so many frogs in my life since I've moved here to good old Alabama! Fun little critters. Brian totally hates them and wont even touch them! Kind of funny. But he's totally tough...except for frogs, but really...he's like, super tough guy. ribbit!

Storms can be kinda cool - - as long as no damage or loss of life I guess. I am not sure about the "frogs" gulp. Have you seen Trent and Troy's Blogs??

I still can't believe you were taking pictures at 3 am...even if it was a cute frog and a big storm!

I remember basements, I used to love them. They don't exist in good old Nevada, and neither does much rain, let alone storms!!

Honestly, I love summerish storms with the thunder and wind! As a kid we would open the garage door and sit there to watch the lightning over the mountains. I was so fascinated with tornados. Glad nothing too destructive happened weatherwise!
