oh, canada

Now that I've got the groceries, laundry, pool fixin', ant banishing and weed picking under control I have time to fill you in on our family vacation out West.
Starting with my home land...

CANADA

We made it! And did we have fun!!!
The weather stayed nice and warm just for Brian!

Our first adventure was to climb up Piney Ridge!

Then of course we hit Lee Creek.
Very cold but always fun.

Maddie was a little nervous when Aunt Cassy
told her it was time to go tubing!
She LOVED it!

Next, the barn dance where we learned that
Carter knows how to get down and boogie!
But not to Country music...
We had to leave the barn and go to the
field dance floor before the kids would participate.

Then a friend took us to see her kittens.
Nash got right in there,
but notice he wouldn't touch the cute kitties with bare hands...

neither would Erin!

Trying to get a nice family picture by the old barn...
always a treat. This is Kung Fu Panda family.

Red Rock Canyon
This place is georgeous! I love it.

Brian like to keep things interesting.
His deal: whoever put their head in the cold cold water would get a dollar.
Nash's head was soaked in an instant.
Erin wanted a dollar too!

Erin wanted a turn with the camera.
I asked her if she could see us on the screen and she said she could.
I guess I should have been more specific.

Second try after she zoomed back out.

Good old Cameron Falls!

There were deer out and about all over Waterton.

They are not very wary of us anymore,

but we still shouldn't get too close!

Yes, the water is FREEZING!
The girls had a contest to see who could stay in the water the longest.
Guess who got out first! (hint: who looks to be in the most discomfort?)

Waterton Lake

Uncle Don's family decided it was high time for a new potty up at the ranch.
Such a creative bunch and horray for Rubbermaid.
I also got to see my buddy/cousin Maria!
I didn't get a picture though...bummer.

Up at Cameron Lake.
It was such a beautiful hike. So, sooooo beautiful!
I loved that.
The best memory for me however, was when Grandpa Great had Nash come sit with him and told him all about Joseph Smith. Grandpa Great has a very strong testimony and wanted to share that with his great grandchildren. I loved washing the dishes and listening to that. I hope that Nash remembers that moment too and never forgets that his Great Grandpa Purnell loves the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Coming up next...UTAH!

I haven't been to Canada in soooo long!! It looks so beautiful!! And so much cooler that then +100 degree weather we've got going on here!! I'll have to plan a trip, although Regina isn't so pretty!! Remember the little rhyme you guys used to say for Regina, Saskatchewan? Oh, I do! But I won't write it on your blog!!

Love the stories Great Grandpa shared with your kids. What a neat memory!!
