Ready for this?
First, we gathered up the supplies...
of which we had plenty lying around in the woods.
Then I set up the table I bought at the beginning of the summer so we could do all sorts of fun messy projects and 'crafts' outside.
I told them I wanted them to look like Easter eggs. Then we could put them around the yard in the trees and stuff for a visual suprise of color where there wouldn't normally be any.
You know...
"Oh, look at the lovely trees and bushes
and woodland nature out there in the yard, but wait!
What is this unexpected delight of color there next to that glorious tree?"
Right! Cool, I know.
and here they are in all their glory. Painted Rocks!
it's a good thing.
(It's a good thing we finally got off the couch and did something else!)

What a clever idea! We are quite the crafty bunch here, but moving has put a cramp in our style. All of the crafty goods are all packed up and all I hear all day long is how bored we are. And it is way too hot to do anything outside here, except swim, so that is all we are doing... that and packing... boring summer...

Your a good mom, hate paint to much mess even for out side! but what a great idea, maybe i'll try that one next year when Grace wont dump out all the paint!!
