My Mom got me a new sewing machine for my birthday and I have been using it! My first curtain panel wasn't too great. So I was a little (a lot) discouraged (and cranky), but when my second panel turned out fabulously I felt a lot better. I lined them with this real life liner fabric. I have four more panels to sew for the little windows on the side. Yea! It's fun to make stuff that actually turns out well. Isn't that fabric beautiful? I love looking at it. Now I just need to find some more awesome fabric and re-cover a love seat and chair and a half. I wonder if that is hard? I found some tutorials on-line that make it look not too tricky. But then again, the tutorial for these lined curtains said she could make a pair of panels in a night and it took me pretty much the whole day (-ish) to make one panel. Soooo...
AND it is pretty cold outside. BUT it is supposed to warm up to 62* by Saturday.
LOVE THE SOUTH!
Wanna see the curtains again?
K! Here you go:

WOW - yes, I am impressed. Those turned out gorgeous. Neat pattern. Wanna come to MY house, I'll pay for the transportation of the sewing maching (you'll have to pay your OWN way) but the sewing machine is on my bill. Love ya little neice.
corrie... i LOVE them!! great job and fun fabric. where did you find it? wish we could sew together all day while our girls played. it's erin's turn to babysit my little girls.
They look awesome! You go girl!
They are beautiful! I'm so excited.
Way to stick with it. I recovered my chair once. Well, to be fair, my mom did most of the work. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but it is a little tedious.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fabric! It looks even BETTER in person too!
But, anything you can do I can do better... no I can't. ;)
those are way awesome! I think they are so beautiful. I wish I could sew. or that you lived in georgia and that we were best best friends and you'd make them for me because you are my visiting teacher and you know that me not having curtains is making me somewhat depressed right now.
It is a gorgeous print--nice choice
Oooh! I'm impressed, too. Wanna come do some curtains for Hannah's closet opening? Just kidding(mostly). There is an AWESOME fabric store in Carrollton, Georgia, called the Fabric Depot. They have beautiful fabric there specifically for drapery and reapolstering (sp?)
I LOVE that fabric. Nice work girl!!
Love it!!! Would you make me some for our new house once we move? JK...I just need you to show me how so I can have beautiful window coverings like you...my hero!
