My maiden name family went to NYC to see my brother in his play. It was an awesome trip.
Because of a lot of things.
FIRST of all...we were soooo smooth as to get ourselves onto an earlier flight that only had 20 passengers so we were moved up to FIRST CLASS! Where our seats went ALL the way down (we took a nap and lamented our flight wasn't a few hours longer) and we got FREE snacks (we took two...each!).
Being with family.
Yummy Yummy FOOD!
These burgers are from the Shake Shack. Oh My.
I was showing Brian my pictures and it was pretty much "Here's where we ate and this is what everyone had...Then we walked past this to go eat here...and this is what I had. This is where we couldn't eat, so we walked here and ate THIS." Every day it was marvelously the same thing.
AND - Lots and lots of walking which was a fabulous companion to all the eating.
This is Central Park. So pretty.
We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, too.
It was difficult not becoming attached to the structure. But we did.
We loved it so and loathed to leave it. We didn't even get written approval!
There was no time for that. Hope we don't get in trouble.
Candy! Candy! Candy!
Dylan's Candy Bar was awesome.
I had the best rice krispie treat EVAH! With caramel and pretzels in the middle.
Then there was this place.
'Nuff Said.
Except for this.
I love my brother.
He's amazing.
So that was my trip.
(Except we went and saw some shows, too.)
I wasn't in charge of anything.
I just walked around, following the man with the iPhone (you were awesome!),
ate delish food, looked at pretty things, and hugged on my beloved family.
I also shared a FULL sized bed with my sister! It's been YEARS since we've done that. We would draw lines down the middle of the bed with our hands to determine 'sides'. We didn't have to do that this time. We knew our sides and didn't even try to hog. We are so grown up.
So, THANKS DAD! Let's do it again!
(Here is a link to Cally's blog for more pictures if you just can't get enough of our family trip to the Big Apple! Also she edits her pictures so they look better.)
