Nothing too exciting to post about right now,
but I was looking through our Washington D.C. pictures and came across these two.
Apparently you are NOT allowed to bring food or drinks or even empty water bottles or containers of any sort larger than a chapstick (or something like that) into the Capitol Building. I don't remember the exact rules, but the security guard made us throw everything into this dumpster before we could go in.
I was kind of sad because those water bottles are pretty cool. And we had some yummy snacks waiting in there for us that we would have to go the whole rest of the day without.
But we complied. Of course.
When we came out I was curious as to how our bottles were doing there in the dumpster. Brian went to have a look see and seed that the bottles were sitting right on top where he left them perched nicely and somewhat mostly uncontaminated. Other than being IN a dumpster...
So we grabbed them.
In the second picture it looks like Carter found a bag of Cheezeits or something.
We didn't let him keep those.
When we got home to my brothers house we promptly gave those bottles a good washing and sanitizing in the dishwasher.
All I can say is - we are still alive and we saved ourselves a good 30$ by not having to replace our neato waterbottles.
Was it worth it? At the time - definately.
Now?
Now that I am looking back at these pictures?
I don't know.
That IS kind of...well, ick.
