fall break 2009

On Wed. when I stayed at the hotel with my feverish girls, the boys went out to Universal Studios and had a grand old time.
I was looking through the pictures they took when they got home and found these.
Maybe I was a little stir crazy after being home all day,
but I laughed so hard.
It looks like they are little poops.
Like it's a Mr. Goodbody tour and they got to experience
what it was like to be in a colon.
Come on! It totally does.

Obviously it isn't really a colon. It is a Coca-Cola mister.
But still...I laughed so hard.

So, now we see Erin on Tylenol and riding our first ride.
The only one she had been excited about.

She liked it and we managed another happy picture on another ride.

The excitement was too much and this was poor Erin
for pretty much the rest of the trip.

She would get out of the stroller once in a while and manage a few rides and smiley pictures and then she would crawl back in and endure. Poor girl.

Madeline was funny the whole trip.
She got a fever our third day on which we decided to stay home,
but she managed to stay pretty chipper the rest of the time.
I know she wasn't feeling fantastic.
Nash tried a few more rides this time and enjoyed a few of the faster things.
More than last time anyhow. He's loves the ambiance of the parks.
Carter really braved up this year. He was scared to ride Space Mountain last year (don't blame him!) but this year he went on anything he could.
I'd watch for the pictures they take while you are on the ride (and try to sell them to you for CRAZY amounts of money!) and Nash would be screaming and holding on for dear life, Madeline would be trying to make some funny face and Carter would be sitting there all calm, like he was taking a Sunday drive!
This is a new roller coaster that Brian took Carter on. It goes upside down and twisty turns and all kinds of insane things.
Carter loved it.

Carter was also the messiest eater in the whole of Florida.
He couldn't eat anything with out it getting ALL over his face.
I don't know how he does it.

This next photo is of something in our near-ish future.

The next time we go will be when this wing of Islands of Adventure is open.
SOOOO excited.

All in all we had a good trip.
The boys and I stayed pretty healthy,
as you can well see by the clean state of my nostrils.
No boogies there.

I never ever thought that we would like
Disney World and Universal Studios as much as we do.
It's a good vacation.
But our kids are getting older and
I think our trips to the parks may be coming to an end of their days.
Not yet, though.

We always said we would go, "next year" when we lived in Louisiana... now we are back in Idaho, I don't know if we will ever make it there! Boohoo! We wanted the kids to be a little older and now they are going to be too old. Hohum... it looks like your trip was great though!

I am SO excited for the Wizarding World! I think I dreamed about it last night, because your pictures sparked something magical and familiar deep in my heart.

And second, I had to run to the loo and puke just looking at that twisty roller coaster. Ugh. Don't do that again.

And Carter with the ice cream?! Serisously! I always ask Jake, "Jake, do you feel that all over your face?" No. He doesn't. So funny.

I love you.

Looks like a good trip...except for the fevers :c(...we're headed down again in December (the week of Christmas). We should go together sometime. We can't wait for Harry Potter World to open at IOA :c)
